Harcourt Matthews already had a track record of successfully placing a number of individuals within the business both prior to and post its addition to the BUPA Group. It was our reputation as a knowledgeable business partner that led to a request for our support in identifying new talented individuals during a period of significant business transformation.
Harcourt Matthews was tasked with the recruitment of a Head of Finance, a Finance Manager and a Credit Controller, coupled with several temporary and interim positions as the finance function was realigned with the business following a period of fast paced growth.
Following a thorough face-to-face briefing, we used a number of processes to identify suitable individuals including a review of existing candidates on our recruitment database, targeted online advertising within focused accountancy & finance jobsites and the use of a number of online CV database providers. We initially provided an interim Head of Finance, who was also identified within two weeks as a perfect match for the permanent position. Shortly afterwards we successfully filled the Credit Control position, having presented a shortlist of 4 candidates. We were able to recruit the permanent Finance Manager on a ratio of 1 CV to 1 interview to 1 placement, having already provided an interim Finance Manager to support the new Head of Finance through the year-end timetable. We are currently recruiting for a number of junior positions within the management accounts team.
