Care UK Plc is a leading, innovative provider of health and social care services in the UK and is listed on the main London Stock Exchange. The group has delivered very strong organic and acquisitive growth over recent years with turnover currently in excess of £300m.

The departure of a highly regarded Group AP Manager due to personal relocation left a significant gap in the team. In their time in the role, the encumbent had made significant steps in developing the integration of AP into the business so that the various divisions were seeking the advice of the Accounts Payable function. Our brief included:

  • Establishing the availability of relevant high calibre blue chip candidates in the local marketplace
  • Benchmarking of a competitive remuneration package
  • Identifying a target list of suitable local organisations to conduct a head hunting campaign

Harcourt Matthews established a recruitment campaign and candidate sourcing process encompassing:

  • Specific headhunting campaign contacting 200 companies to identify relevant candidates and present the career opportunity to them
  • Accessing HML network & CV database to shortlist existing contacts and gain new referrals/recommendations
  • Accessing several jobsite CV databases to cover the active UK candidate market 
  • Advertising in several online jobsites
  • Used 3rd party outsourced research businesses to identify additional candidate resource

The successful recruitment of a Group Accounts Payable Manager via the headhunt campaign has resulted in our ongoing recruitment isupport to the business at Group and divisional level.
