Job Description: Operating within the highly competitive Facilities Management market, this household name specialises in technology, construction & network infrastructure maintenance FM, outsourcing & integrating services to major UK corporate & public sector clients. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Procurement to support this £300m t/o group. Reporting to the Finance Director and managing a team of 11 procurement heads. Your brief includes:

Ensure that the existing Procurement Strategy is delivered and engrained into the business practices and behaviours
Ensure that the Procurement Department delivers bottom line cost savings that have a positive impact on group profit performance
Utilise your stakeholder and relationship management skills to influence all operators to work in conjunction with Procurement and agree savings targets with each business area. Ensure that Procurement takes a lead role in the management of key suppliers, driving the roll out of a group-wide Supplier Management approach
Ensure that the Category Management methodology and documentation that has been developed is fully utilised and underpins the sourcing strategies to maximise supplier consolidation and cost savings delivery
Drive the Procurement team and work with key stakeholders so that Procurement is fully engaged on all key bids where third parties are involved ensuring that Procurement support these bids and lead all commercial interfaces between all parties
Lead the Management of the Indirect spend within the group working closely with the facilities and fleet departments to adopt the appropriate Category Plans for all indirect spend
Ensure that Procurement is maximising the benefits from Oracle systems and develops ?best in class? metrics and processes

As a CIPS qualified, you will have 5+ years` procurement experience in a senior management role (including people development), demonstrating pro-active expertise from a high-profile procurement role responsible for facilities, fleet and estates. Competency in key business processes (bids process, P2P), P&L and Balance sheet, and a track record in delivering significant cost savings through excellent procurement processes and activities is essential. The ability to develop innovative procurement solutions which impact positively on customer bids and project delivery are desirable and excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management are prerequisite.
