This diverse Construction & Property group operates within a broad range of real estate markets, commercial, leisure, private & public accommodation & is dedicated to development, facilities management & urban regeneration. With a challenging remit to attain ambitious strategic & operational targets over the next 5 years, the group is working alongside a portfolio of investment partners, to ensure that key expansion aims are achieved. A 6-month assignment for a Director of Finance exists to support the Operations Board. A varied brief includes: *Provide financial performance reporting against Board approved plan, budget & investment programmes, ensuring standards of reporting, accountability, audit & financial risk management *Oversee financial management including preparation of financial information for Board level decision making *Brief & advise on current & forthcoming programmes & projects, supporting management planning & delivery *Orchestrate financial planning, working closely with stakeholders, partners & suppliers, aligning funding sources/working capital with investment, for developments & regeneration projects *Ensure projects & Work in Progress are structured, monitored & integrated with related activities for successful delivery *Provide financial analysis, ensure management control & propose financial solutions for project delivery, optimising returns from asset disposals & operations *Support development of contracting strategy, optimising project structures, financing & economic returns to impact on working capital & return on funds *Lead & develop finance team ensuring the ability to manage significant business growth & promoting finance as a true business partner As a technically strong qualified accountant, you will have a proven track record of success in leading & developing a finance function in a complex construction, facilities management or property development business. Additionally, you will be expert in working with service delivery partners in facilities management & programme delivery. Experience of building, motivating & inspiring finance as a business partner, ensuring performance management alongside presenting complex scenarios to various audiences are prerequisite. Demonstrable commercial acumen, developed at a public/private interface, in the development of financial strategies is essential. Initially a 6-month assignment there is the possibility of a permanent senior finance role within the group. |
